Information for UK
Omid Foundation is a tax exempt charity registered in the UK, registration number 1115318. Donations by UK legal entities are tax deductible to the extent permitted by UK law. Tax efficient giving by individuals who pay UK tax can be done through the Gift Aid scheme, which allows for Gift Aided donations to be regarded as having basic rate tax deducted by the donor. We take your donation - which is money you've already paid tax on - and reclaim the basic rate tax from HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) on its 'gross' equivalent - the amount before basic rate tax was deducted. Basic rate tax is 20 per cent, so this means that if you give £10 using Gift Aid, it's worth £12 to us. Please consult your accountant for details.
A limited number of in-kind donations (good and services) are also tax deductible. Please consult your accountant or contact us at email@example.com for details.
